unique array of genetic resources to develop\u00a0the climate-smart crops already relieving pressure for farmers in the drylands and beyond. Last year we advanced our research with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icarda.org\/media\/blog\/modernizing-crop-breeding-safeguard-tomorrows-populations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>cutting-edge phenotyping and speed breeding techniques<\/u><\/a>, making our research faster and more accurate and our innovations more effective than ever. href=\"https:\/\/www.icarda.org\/media\/news\/icarda-cairo-water-week-2023\"><u>Cairo Water Week<\/u><\/a><u>, and<\/u>\u00a0<strong><b>COP28, <\/b><\/strong>where I represented CGIAR in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icarda.org\/media\/news\/cgiar-meets-uae-support-cop28-goals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>pre-meetings with the UAE COP28 Presidency<\/u><\/a>\u00a0to underscore the importance of and help build even better international collaboration in achieving climate-smart food, land, and water transformations.
