Resilient Rangeland and Livestock Systems for Better Livelihoods

A Community Effort for Ecosystem Health in Grazing Land

Healthy ecosystems rich in diverse native plant, tree, and animal species are essential for providing nutritious grazing for livestock and securing food security and livelihoods for pastoralists. Yet many dryland rangelands and agrosilvopastoral systems are degraded due to climate change, overgrazing, and unsuitable land use. ICARDA works closely with these communities to develop the tools, visibility, and knowledge they need to engage with policymakers and optimize innovation for a resilient, inclusive, and prosperous future.
